What to send

  • Stand back far enough to get the whole wall, the whole roof pitch or the whole run of drive in one frame.
  • Then one close-up of the worst patch, so the growth can be told apart from the staining underneath it.
  • Photograph what makes it awkward as well — the second storey, the bank behind the house, the gate a hose reel will not fit through. That is what moves the number.

Nothing needs cropping and nothing needs to be flattering.

04 Anything else

How many storeys, whether there is an outside tap and a power point, how a hose gets round the back, and whether the drive can be clear on the day.
